Norseman 2021

Norseman is a point-to-point triathlon in Norway that starts with a jump from a car ferry into a fjord and a 3.8km swim to shore, followed by a 180km cycle with ~3,500m of elevation and finishes with a 42km run up a mountain.

The 250 general entries to the race are awarded on a ballot system which I have entered for the last three years and failed to receive a spot. This year the sponsor Zalaris decided to put together a charity team and award four race spots in return for a commitment to raise £7,500 for two charities, MOVE and Aktiv mot kreft, both of which provide support to people living with and beyond cancer. I was lucky enough to get a spot and I will be raising money for the charity MOVE and their intitiative 5k your way.

I have wanted to do this race for a long time and will be paying for all of the trip myself. As the money needs to be raised before the end of 2020 and the race has been postponed to 2021 I have decided to undertake a few other challenges this year to raise the money required. You can read about them here and please let me know if you want to get involved or would like to sponsor one of the events.
